I can’t help but find the part in the video where the Comedian is trying to get a kiss from Silk Spectre II creepy, for reasons obvious to anyone who has read/seen Watchmen.

Read the book, have you? I love the emphasis here on friendship, the Watchmen were all emotionally stunted (even Dr. Manhatten). Showing Rorshach as the “wacky” one is just too perfect. Also love that the weird genetic tiger has been morphed into Snarf.
