I always figured it was just a different name for Galaxian, a game I loved. Different names for the same game are fairly common between different markets (I grew up in the UK) and I didn't even know I was a Gradius fan until years after I'd first played Nemesis :) I think I’ve said it before, but I didn’t even know Galaga existed as a game until relatively recently (like the last 10 years). I always figured it was just a different name for Galaxian, a game I loved.
