I am a mature boy looking to buy the game COD4. I have played this game and other FPS's at my friend's houses many times and it has not affected me yet. I read the newspapers every day and understand the horrors of the war in Iraq, the constant fighting in Isreal, and the invasion of Georgia, and I strongly oppose them. I can see all PG-13 movies. I work hard to earn A's and B's in school, I participate in many sports, and I understand how my very regulatory Dad might want not to allow this game into the house. However, I strongly believe that I am perfectly mature enough to play a game like this. I have already seen the nuclear scene, and was unaffected by it. I do understand there is blood in the game but in the midst of a battle, you can hardly notice it. My dad is very regulatory of my electronic habits and I'm sure that he would make sure that I dont play very much. It is mainly a social device anyway, to use when I have friends over. So, could you please report back to me ASAP, because I enjoy this game very much, and i need some help in convincing my Dad to let me buy this game.

I have Halo 3 and I hear swearing all the time at school and im not affected by it . Im also allowed to watch all PG-13 movies and i participate in many sports. I know whats going on in the world today like in Iraq and I know some of the bad things that are happening. I have Call of Duty 2 and I get great grades at school. One more thing, I do have Xbox Live and I have heard that Call of Duty 4 has multiplayer better than that of Halo. So, do you think a mature 14 year old who is allowed to play other violent games (With the exeption of GTA and Gears of War) should be allowed to get Call of Duty 4? Most of my friends are allowed to play games like this but my parents can be strict about it sometimes. If you could, please reply back ASAP so I can get in the action soon! Thanks!

I have to agree with you! I believe it's the only game I've played so far that I actually felt for the characters. The level of realism is way up there to me compared to other FPS games. I mean, hitting an enemy in the leg only to watch them fall and try crawling to cover while still shooting at you.
